Florida!!!!

Hey my lovelies!!!

I know I’ve been AWOL lately but I have been so busy with work and the kiddies. I really need to get back into blogging as life flies by so fast and I love looking back and having things documented on my blog.

Here is a little throwback to our trip to Florida back in March this year. Me, Bailey and Boston tagged along with my Mum and Dad whilst Mark held the fort back home and looked after Flexy (our Bulldog).

Where we stayed!

We stayed in a lovely villa in Davenport. I searched on Ebay for a Florida villa close to Disney and found the perfect one for us. This is my 6th visit to Florida and we have found that staying in a villa works best for us. You have so much space to yourself and a private pool. You have a fully equipped kitchen so no need to eat out all of the time which really suited us as American food is so rich that my stomach really can’t handle too much.

What we did!

My boys are only 4 and 1 so just getting a 14 day Disney Parks ticket suited us best as everything suits their age range. They would’t be big enough for most of the rides in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure so we will save them for when they are a little older.

With the 14 day Disney pass you get

*Walt Disneys Magic Kingdom

*Disney’s Hollywood Studios

*Disney’s Animal Kingdom

*Disney’s Epcot

*Disney’s Blizzard Beach

*Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

You can go to these theme parks as many times as you like in the 14 days. We did each of them twice as they were so big. It is very difficult to get around them in 1 day. My favourite is definitely Animal Kingdom. I was really excited to see the new Pandora and go on the Avatar rides but the queues were about 3 hours long and there were no fast passes available for the whole holiday.

We also went to Gatorland. I love seeing Alligators in really life and there were definitely plenty to see. Bailey really enjoyed watching the gator wrestling and feeding the gators hotdog sausages.

We love walking around the lakes in Celebration when in Florida. I love gator and terrapin spotting. It’s the most stunning place and so nice for a chilled day after the craziness at the theme parks.

Where we ate!

We didn’t eat out that much really. On the second day we went to Ihop for a breakfast. The portions are enormous. I had pancakes with a side of bacon, eggs and hash browns. I didn’t feel to great after eating all that and couldn’t wait to get back to my oats in the morning so that was the last time we ate breakfast out.

We also ate at Red Lobster which is a favourite of mine. I got the same meal that I got last time I was in Florida. It was the Ultimate Feast with Lobster tail, crabs legs, prawns and lots of sides. It was so good but so rich. I couldn’t eat such rich food everyday. Definitely worth it now and again though.

Overall!

Overall it was another amazing trip to Florida. We timed it a bit wrong though as it was spring break so way too busy. The queues were massive, especially in Magic Kingdom. The traffic was also quite bad. The Waterparks weren’t too bad though so we really enjoyed them. The weather was also not the best at the start. Cloudy, cold and rainy. For the last days we had lots of sun and 30 degrees.

Still the boy’s have some amazing memories. Boston loved it just as much as Bailey did. i didn’t think he would take that much notice but he was excited and dancing in his pram as soon as we was walking through the entrance.

I would love to take the boy’s back when they are about 10 and 7 but i really don’t think I could last that long. Let’s see what 2019 brings.
