So I’ve decided to do a monthly favourites blog post as I love trying new products and shopping so thought I would share my views. I love watching Youtube videos and reading blog posts on peoples monthly favourites so why not do my own.
It is so uncomfortable to sleep when pregnant. Especially when you usually like to sleep on your front like me. So I ordered myself a pregnancy pillow and hoped it would help with this problem. I did a little research and decided that the Mamas and Papas Pregnancy and nursing pillow looked the best for me. It isn’t too big and moulds perfectly to your body. It is the perfect shape to rest your head on, rest your bump on slightly and to go between your legs. It comes with a gorgeous removable star design cover which is easy to wash. As well as being a pillow to help with sleeping, it can be used as a nursing pillow to rest the baby on when bottle feeding or breast feeding. I used a nursing pillow when I was breastfeeding with Bailey. It was amazing and made it so much more comfortable.
I am so in love with my new shoes. I have been eyeing them up for months and finally decided I had to have them. They go with so much. Dresses, jeans, leggings. I am definitely getting my wear out of them.
I have tried so many eyeliners but so far this is definitely my fave. I first bought it when I went to America in May and then repurchased it when Debenhams became the exclusive UK stockists of Kat Von D beauty. It has a really fine brush applicator which makes it easy to get that perfect flick and is the perfect black which isn’t too wishy washy like a lot of other eyeliners that I have tried.
By the end of the year I will be 30. I am not happy about this at all and it has encouraged me to buy lots of different skincare products to try and keep me from looking 30. I can only try. I decided to try a few products from Estee Lauder as Debenhams had a deal. With 2 products I received a bag of minis. It was well worth it as I could try lots of their products out.
The Daywear cream is perfect for my slightly dry skin. It absorbs into my skin quickly allowing to apply makeup straight away. My face doesn’t feel tight or dry for the rest of the day once this has been applied. I love the smell. Its sort of fresh and like cucumber. It also contains SPF15 which would be a bonus in Summer.
The Advanced night repair eye cream is also a lovely product. It is silky and soft when applying and definitely makes my eyes feel refreshed. I suffer with dark circles under my eyes (especially with having a toddler and baby on the way) and feel like this may of helped slightly.
I have been wearing hair extensions continuously since I was 16 so a pretty long time. I have tried out so many brands and techniques and I have fallen in love with these. Clip-ins can usually be a nightmare as the clips tend to stick out when you don’t want them too, displaying that your hair isn’t your own. The silicone band on the Foxylocks seamless range prevents this as they aren’t as heavy so don’t pull on clip. They feel so much lighter in your hair. As if yo don’t have hair extensions in at all. I will never go back to clip-ins with the normal band again. I will do a more detailed blog post on my extensions soon.
This has been a saviour throughout my pregnancy. I never got any stretch marks during my first pregnancy and I put it down o Bio-oil. In my 32 weeks of this pregnancy I still don’t have any. I oil morning and night covering my tummy and boobs to keep them at bay. I can’t 100% say that it is all down to Bio-oil as a lot of people say it is down to genetics but I do believe it must help.
I have also been using Bio-oil as a cleanser for the last few weeks. I bought a Nivea cleanser but it wasn’t completely removing all my makeup, so I thought I would try this as I didn’t have any other cleansers at home. It works as an amazing cleanser because the oil breaks all the makeup down and wipes away easily. I think I will continue using it as a cleanser and maybe a nighttime treatment.
I’m a big fan of Aviator sunglasses and when I tried them on in Topshop recently I regretted not buying them. I managed to find them on Asos when I got home so purchased some. They are the perfect size. Not too big, not too small. I love the mirrored lens and now choose these over my Raybans. I will definitely be purchasing more Quay Australia sunglasses in the future as the designs are gorgeous and such an amazing price tag.
I have been using this Shampoo and treatment for a while now. The smell of it is just so good. Its hard to describe but it smells really perfumed. I love it now just as much as when I first purchased it. Kerastase is such a luxurious brand so a little pricier then other Shampoos and conditioners but definitely worth it. I would never scrimp and save on my hair products as my hair has been through so much over the last few years that it needs the best. As a hairdresser it wouldn’t be right to use Supermarket brands on my hair as I no all about the science that behind them. There is a reason why these products cost a hell of a lot more. The Elixir Ultime range is for dry hair and creates amazing shine. It is enriched with coriander, coconut oil and shea butter.
So I have been looking for something comfortable to pack in my hospital bag for after babies arrival and came across these tracksuits on Misspap. They had lots of colours to choose from but you can’t go wrong with black. You need the most flattering colour straight after you give birth. I tried these on when they arrived and love them both even with my giant bump so will be wearing them during pregnancy too. I think the velvet set is my fave. Which is yours?
This is my all time favourite foundation. I have every brand of foundation imaginable but non beats this. Not too light and not too heavy with great coverage. Gives you a slight glow and smells amazing too.
What are your November favourites?
